Dr AbdulGafar Olawale Fahm is a lecturer specialising in Islamic Studies. He serves as a Reader (equivalent to Associate Professor) in the Department of Religions at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, where he also holds the position of Deputy Director (Academics) at the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL). Dr Fahm earned his PhD. in Islamic Spiritual Culture and Contemporary Society from the International Islamic University Malaysia. His academic pursuits are deeply rooted in Islamic thought and civilisation, focusing on Islamic ethics, spiritual culture, and the intersection of religion with contemporary societal issues.​ With over 50 publications to his name, Dr. Fahm has made significant contributions to Islamic Studies. His research encompasses various topics, including Cultural Studies, Islamic Ethics and Contemporary Issues, Interfaith Relations, Islamic Education and Activism. His work is widely recognised, with over 1,000 citations and an h-index of 9, reflecting the impact of his research in the academic community.​ Dr. Fahm is affiliated with several academic and research platforms, where his publications and research activities are accessible to the scholarly community. He also maintains an active presence on social media, sharing insights and engaging with broader audiences on topics related to Islamic Studies.
