Abdulwahab Danladi SHITTU is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Religions, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin. His research focus is Islamic Law with emphasis on trends in the application of Shariah in the world in general and in Nigeria in particular. He is equally interested in cultural studies and religious relations. He has occupied different administrative offices at departmental, faculty, and university levels. He was an examination officer, the secretary for the faculty ethical review committee, and a member of the university committee on illegal use of substances among others. He speaks Yoruba, Hausa, Arabic, and English. He is a member of the Nigerian Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NATAIS), the African Association for the Study of Religions (AASR), and the National Association for the Study of Religions (NASR). He has published in reputable journals in both national and international outlets.
