I am Yahya Shaykh Ahmad. I was born in 1987 and I attended St.Theresa’s Catholic School and Government Day Secondary School respectively for basic and secondary education. I did B.A. Islamic Studies at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin and graduated with First Class Honours in 2011. I emerged as the best graduating student in the Department of Islamic Studies and College of Humanities at Al-Hikmah. I obtained M.A. Islamic Studies at Unilorin in 2015 and I started my career as a Lecturer at AROIF (an affiliate of Al-Hikmah) before joining Unilorin as an Information Officer in 2014. My application for change of cadre was approved in 2019 after sterling performance in the exam conducted by the University. Presently, I am a Lecturer II in the Department of Religions, Faculty of Arts and a Level Adviser of 100 and 200 level students. My research interests include Islamic economics, jurisprudence and inter-faith.
