Patrick Uchenna Nwosu is an Associate Professor in African and Comparative Religious Studies at the Department of Religions, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. A Roman Catholic priest, he holds a PhD degree in Comparative Religious Studies from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria (2010) and a Master’s in Christian Studies from the same University (2006) specializing in Inter-religious Dialogue. He also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from, the University of Ado-Ekiti (2009) now Ekiti State University, Ekiti; Bachelor of Theology and Philosophy from Urban University, Rome, 2000 & 1994 respectively. His primary areas of research are interdisciplinary approaches to the religions of the World, African Cultures, and Ancestral Societies in Africa with a focus on Okonko and Ogboni Societies, including their spirituality in Igbo and Yoruba lands. Many of his other scholarly works have appeared in Local and International Journals, reflecting areas of his research interest. In 2016, Nwosu with his research team won the John Templeton Grant in the Study of World Christianity. The Grant was administered by the Nagel Institute of Calvin University, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is the Chaplain, of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Chaplaincy, Mini Campus since 2019 till date.
