Yahya Oyewole Imam is a Professor of Islamic Studies in the Department of Religions, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin. He joined the services of the University of Ilorin in 2012 after twenty-three years of service at the University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri where he served as a Postgraduate Coordinator in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies and chaired several committees at the departmental and faculty levels. He was also a member of some university’s committees. Upon his appointment at the University of Ilorin as a Professor of Islamic Studies and Research Manager (Humanities Cluster), he attracted training grants to the university and assisted candidates in writing award-winning proposals. He was in Borno State University, Maiduguri on Sabbatical and Leave of Absence where he served as the Pioneer Director of Centre for Research and Development (CRD). Prof. Imam is a member of the TETFUND National Research Fund Screening and Monitoring Committee.
